Architectural Concept & Design

Villa Casa Montana y Mar is an architectural study in contrast and spatial rhythm, nestled in the serene landscapes of Mexico.

The upper floor, composed of clean, geometric cubes, appears to float above the open and airy horizontal volume below. This interplay of massing gives the villa both structure and levity. The design is centred along a strong axial composition — stretching from the main entrance through the living spaces to the pool terrace — establishing depth, flow, and coherence.

Inside, the floor plan is articulated with precision: the left wing invites gatherings and entertainment, while the right offers private spaces for rest and reflection. At the heart lies a pergola shaded by a light textile canopy, creating a soft, protected ambience ideal for tropical living.

A standout feature is the private home office, which is included at the owner's request. With its own courtyard and full acoustic and visual separation from the rest of the house, it serves as a creative and productive sanctuary, perfect for work during travel or extended stays.
